Isa reached her house, technically not hers but Evlyn’s. She practised walking all confidently into the house right there on the street.

It was house no. 225 Sycamore Avenue in California. At least she was in the same state. She walked up to the door and rang the bell. A short old woman with dropped shoulders, a wrinkled face and a walking stick opened the door.

“Yes?” she asked
Since she didn't know who she was she figured out she was probably at the wrong house. She quickly glanced at her school diary which practically had all the details.

It read house no. 227 Sycamore Avenue, California.
Oh no! She had to cook up some believable story in like 5 SECONDS!!

“Ummm Hey I’m Isssss Evlyn Garcia no sorry it's Flores”
“Evlyn Flores that’s who I am,” she said nervously with a fake plastered smile
across her face

“Yes, I know you, isn't David your father?” she asked kindly

“Yes,” she asked with a nervous face

“Well I’m glad I saw you today, wait here I’ll come back”

Isa (now Evlyn) let out a sigh of relief at least there wasn't any problem now
The lady came back with a box filled with a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies

“I was actually going to give this to your father today for the help he did”
“Tell your father I said thank you”
“Sure and thank you for the cookies Mrs…..?”

“It's Mrs Anderson for you dear”

“Well, Thank you so much Mrs. Anderson,” she said gratefully

She then had to find her house. She looked around and saw house no. 227
She crossed the street and knocked on the door expecting someone to open it.

A man pretty tall around the age of 40 opened the door with a warm smile
“You know you could have just opened the door”

Isa smiled nervously. What was she supposed to say?

“How was school today,” He asked

Thank god the subject changed
“It was pretty fine really,” she said

“How was the test in math class today?” he asked while walking to the kitchen
“Test? What test?” she asked while taking a seat on the sofa

“The one you said you had in the first class”
She realized it would have been before she switched places with the girl
“It was great, I’m gonna get an A for sure,” she said confidently while hoping it would be true

“Wonderful! Now go fresh up and we’ll eat some pancakes”

She saw a bedroom near the living room and headed towards it with her bag

“Ummm dear, that's the guest room?!” Her father said all confused

“Oh yeah I was just playing around” she said chuckling nervously

Then she proceeded to head upstairs hoping her room would be there
As her father didn’t say anything she assumed her room would be upstairs.

She headed up the stairs and found two rooms
On each of the doors there were two posters, one had a pink board with white polka dots and “EVE” written on it in a cute manner and another with a sky blue board and cloud designs and “LYNN FLORES” in a stylish font.

She figured the one with the blue board was hers because it had her….. Well….. temporary…… name on it.

She entered the room and found a room with an attached balcony. There was a cute comfy bed, alongside of which there was a table that had a desktop. There was a white cupboard that contained clothes, most of which were hoodies and sweatpants.

She quickly changed into a black hoodie and blue sweatpants.

By the time she changed, it was around 6:15. When she exited the room she noticed a little girl sitting in the other room. That would be Evlyn's sister “Eve”.
She entered the room and found a girl with silky black hair in pigtails, a rosy face and plump cheeks drawing something.

“Oh hey, Lynie! How was school today, My cough has gotten better”
Isa assumed that Eve did not go to school today.

“It was nice, Glad you’ve gotten better,” she said

“You want to see what I drew?” Eve asked cheerfully

“Well, why not?” Isa said happily

“Ok so I was drawing thi-” Eve said but she was cut short

“Girls!! You wanna come down for some pancakes?” their father shouted from below

Eve forgetting all about the drawing dashed downstairs desperate for the pancakes, she could have set a world record with that speed.

Evlyn also walked downstairs. She saw 3 plates with freshly stacked pancakes.

Isa also forgot about the whole mismatch and sat down to eat some. All of them gobbled the pancakes.
