Evlyn, who is usually late in the morning, gets up just 10 minutes before she is supposed to be ready.

She rushes frantically to get herself ready.
She ran past the door, muttering a few words of goodbye to her mother, only to discover that the bus was long gone. She was then forced to walk for another 20 minutes just so the receptionist could present her with another late slip.

Mondays were exceptionally dreadful days for being late because Professor Jones' history class was first thing in the morning. Being a minute late for class entailed arriving thirty minutes late for his class, something she had to learn the hard way.

He liked his class to be peaceful at all times. So peaceful that even if someone was breathing too heavily he would give them a death stare bound to raise your heartbeat at least ten times more.

But today was pretty unusual since Mr Jones didn't say anything to her, he just told her to get in fast and open her books. She even thought she was in the wrong class because of this odd behaviour.

After History class, it was Mrs. James’ Biology class.
Now this is a class that Evlyn always looked forward to. She just loved Biology but for some reason, she hated to be a doctor even though half of her family was filled with doctors.
Mrs James’ class was not just liked by Evlyn; everyone in her class enjoyed it. Although school had just started everyone knew her writing methods by now.
She used Black for headings, Red for keywords, Blue for underlining and green for definitions. She was just as organized as Mr Jones but it wouldn't give you a headache.

After Biology came Chemistry which was taught by Ms Thompson.
Now she was the kind of teacher who always liked to talk about when she was a child. Evlyn always thought she could have been a good motivational speaker because of how much she advises her students. She always says that the girls in this class are the only ones who care which makes the boys get jealous of them.

Then finally came the short break, a time everyone loved. Everyone took out their boxes and headed to the school grounds. The reason for this was that the school made them sit on the ground to eat their snacks. It was the same for lunch break too. She stood near the door of her classroom along with her best friend Alyza waiting for her other friends from the other sections.

They all had been together in 6th grade but unfortunately in 7th grade, they got separated. There were 7 of them - Alohi Jean Miller, Alyva Jane Carter, Alyza Kate Evans, Elna Lynn Taylor, Grace Anne Clark, Myra James Davis and Evlyn David Flores.

They all became a group because there were only 7 girls entirely in 6th grade. They knew that there was a chance they could get separated in 7th grade but they still couldn’t believe it when they got to know their sections for the next grade. But even if they were in different classes they all knew they would still be besties.

“Earth to Evlyn! Can you hear me?!” Elna exclaimed
She didn’t realize that her friends had already come and that she was daydreaming.
“Oh sorry got lost in my thoughts that's all,” she said

They all went down together and formed a circle; they ate together happily reliving all the memories they had together back in 6th grade and they went back to their respective classes.

Now it was Mr. Williams’ Physics class. He was a chill teacher and never bothered about what his class did so naturally everyone liked him. Today for some reason Evlyn was so tired that she yawned (quite loudly) in his class. Like usual he was the least concerned still he made her go to the washroom to wash her face so that she got a bit more energized.

She did as told and went to the washroom. She casually opened the tap but then she noticed the sign next to it.

UNDER MAINTENANCE
DO NOT USE

But since the tap was working perfectly fine she decided not to follow as the sign told. She washed her face twice and looked in the mirror only to realize something so impossible had happened.
She was so shocked that she collapsed onto the floor slowly backing away from the mirror as if it was a hungry lion coming to pounce on her.
She realized that her biggest dream had come true!
